How long will the goal posts take to shift towards tanking again?

bro talking like 50M to stretch Lillards contract and sign Myles Turner is a disaster but PG out the whole season with a 50M+ cap hit is all fine

PG hasnt been declared out all season though...

And yeah, 76ers success this season will be dependent on embiid's health. Tell us something we didnt already know.

Good thing is 76ers have one of the brightest young backcourts in the league. Edgecomb looks like hes going to be a beast, plus Maxey + McCain returning healthy, and they may very well re-sign Grimes soon as well (all signs indicate that is likely). Loaded young group of guards right there.

Same story, different seasons. One of the more talented rosters in the league dependent on the health of their best players. Nothing new. Good thing now is they got younger and got one of the best players in the draft plus added some athleticism to round out the back end of the rotation. They did as well as you could expect in the draft and FA, especially once they re-sign Grimes. If Embiid and PG get hurt all season again at least we have a future core outside of them.

Maxey - 24
McCain - 21
Grimes - 25
Edgecomb - 19
Edwards - 21
Bona - 22
Watford - 24
Broome - 22
Walker - 22

Definitely some nice young guns to look forward to. Embiid and PG are the only 30+ guys in the rotation.

Very true. But they're building with the intention to be able to move forward in their absence. Hopefully they can be somewhat healthy and available, but if not? Develop the young guys who are the future.

What an article. The most "what if he were health all season" in NBA history.

Embiid looked SHARP yesterday in the 76ers blue and white full game scrimmage in Delaware. Light on his feet, moving well.

Plzzzzz
