I have a dell OptiPlex 960 it has windows on 1 hardrive and I'm putting Ubuntu on the other but when I go to boot from the usb it says it isnt available.. HOW DO I FIX IT??? DELLS ARE HARD AND LINUX IS TO WHAT DID I GET MYSELF INTO lol

Did you make the USB with Ubuntu on it bootable? I.e use Rufus or another program?

Rufus tryed gpt and other one iso matches and isnt a corrupt one also like to mention it is an sd adapter usb jsyk

If it says “insert media” or “no bootable devices found” when you try to boot from them then it wasn’t flashed properly or you have a setting in the bios you need to change.

I know on newer HPs you need a RST driver to see the drives properly. Not sure if Dell has an equivalent but it’s worth a Google

Could the fact that its a sd be apart of the problem if so ima have to grab a usb sometime

Never heard or tried to boot from an sd card. I would get a USB drive and try it out

Figured it out the sdReaderUsb was not working with ubuntu and I put it on a real usb not it works ty all for MrSk for feedback
