Anyone watch the show about the ancient Rock Wall buried in Texas, apparently its 70 feet tall and surrounds an area about 20 miles in Area. Yet another dagger in conventional archeology. Your gunna need a raincoat and galoshes to protect yourself from the rain of BS and Herr Derr thats going to follow.

i watch that show from time to time like a game show, i call it "spot the common anthropological mistake"

Also Kalel i remembered last night while reading that the great pyramids were likely covered in their Pharaoh's name, subsequent generations however commonly removed pharaohs names from works, especially on dynasty changes. So that explains the lack of hieroglyphs at Giza.

Ok. Damn egyptians just like fucking with us lol

Might be the biggest Archeological mystery ever, so probably better for some to close their eyes and pray it away.

Indeed one of the problems early diggers had was finding tombs that had been raided that they could no longer identify because past generations of looters either destroyed the hieroglyphs or they were left open once plundered and erosion did the rest.

For the last few hundred years the eqyptian antiquities office has been fighting to reclaim many of the black market treasures that have bounced around for the last few thousand years. Its not uncommon for museums to have many items in their displays that were reclaimed by keen eyed officials walking the marketplaces. Sadly much of what was lost remains lost. It has also been theorized however that ancient pharaoh's may have sent teams on occasion to plunder former pharaoh's resting places. Whether this was meant as an affront to their potential afterlives, resource gathering for their own treasures, or both no one is quite sure.
