Well, strength and dexterity charms helps to meat requirements.
As a zon, i always find it real fun, when the ladder has gone for a while and i have built up a decent arsenal of gear, to get full arctic gear, and put hel rune in the bow ^^ This makes it easy to use early on. You can mix and match with low level sets. Hsaru's boots and belt is okay, boots for 20% frw at least.
Sigons is good, but has a hefty strength requirement. And the helmet looks ugly. But it is the superior set choice.
You can basically use anything. Unique items is great also. Just anything that you think is good. Usually you get good enough gear, if you collect it through the acts during the beginning of a ladder, to get a flying start.
Nagelrings is great for the low level req. Angelic ring+amulet is of course superior. Vidala amulet+1 set piece gives a 50% mf boost at level 14, tancred amulet+1 set piece gives a whooping 78% mf boost at level 20.
There are many things to consider, but that's what makes the game fun. And people that play only endgame stuff are missing out on the true point.
That is why i collect low-mid level items during beginning of ladder. People say it's junk, but i know it's not. We're talking hardcore as well. People just don't know how to play. Collect all the low level stuff, so your level 1 character gets a flying start. It's real fun to just blast through normal with good gear. Nn chants ... just wipe your way through.
