Okay so, i've played WW horker, oriented to spamm travincal runs.

i had issues with the merc, i tested cure, eth raled andy, even flickering flame, but he cant stop die every run, the only way to have him alive is perma reposicioning him with teleport,
and still he dies sometimes.

so there is the first question, what merc do you use to avoid that issue?

on the other hand, i would like if you can show me what equip uses horker at first day of ladder season, and what do you priorize to start the travincal runs as soon as possible..

what rings amu, weapons armor etc

its berskeker better than ww or frenzy at the very early stage of ladder?

Also if you can show me a very high end equip for horker oriented to travincals.. beeing very specific on items stats and bases for armor or weapons, i would appreciate it.

Two options:

a Steel shade + coh

b Steel shade + guardian angel

- If you don´t have enigma steel shade + guardian angel.

- Socket rals if u want it to survive conviction slightly better. Can also do combo with ral + um for 75 all, works too.

- Make sure steel shade has a good sorb roll.

This is my take on build "tiers":

starter gear would probably be oath, skullders (mdr, mf), dwarfs(mdr,sorb,gf) etc.. MDR is very good vs many tiny hits (hydra). Work with what u find or can get cheap.

mid = dual grief ww or 1h grief zerk

endgame = throw barb with renewed bone break, new gem, leech, max/ar/life or max/ar(mf/gf).

imo why throw is the best once u have charms + faith + eth throw weapons. Council is often lined up so u basically murder them with high dmg and pierce, ww and zerk don´t even come close to killspeed. and they pile up nicely for hork, no annoying ww or extensive moving around, just turret em. Can even do dual warshrike over lac + warshrike if u hate fear, u kill even phys immune quickly due to the new -phys res on gem + charm.

about throw barb, dont you lose mf from gear to make him work? i mean, is he as fast as you mentioned with shaco/arreat + chance gloves+goldwrap + WT? or you need to hit some pierce and so and going gores+razortail+Loh, highlord etc? in this case the only mf you get it's 2isted alibaba +eni (endgame) +inventory?

thanks you for your response, anothr question would be, what base on oath? and when ure using oath are y going with pb isted in offhand? ss? rhyme?

If u are looking for runes it´s best to optimize for killspeed IMO.
The only two things that matter for finding high runes are:
- runs per hour
- hork chance

Focusing on goldfind is good for gambling but not for expected value, especially early ladder since u get less runs/more gamble = less runes.
For endgame/nl it depends on what u want also, u can go oldschool full goldfind if u want, can just have different setups.
Personally I always prioritize runs per hour, it´s good for runes, crafting(gems) and rares. I might be biased here because of melee, but you can´t gamble a rare e-rep helm or weapon, only drop.

About oath base, any eth base works but I guess speed [0] is easy to build around. Haven´t theorycrafted the budget-options so much.

Offhand I like to use dual hoto for hork speed plus find item chance = more runes and items, you get MF from renewed bone break, gheeds, enigma, new colossal gem + a few charms. my throw barb has 200 mf atm. Remember more runs = higher chance to find items too, and MF/GF doesn´t matter for runes.

Edit: I´d use oath with ss and stat maxblock + extra str for more damage. U dont need 5k hp to hork trav, 3k is enough. The old rule "str only for gear" is not optimal for killspeed.

and would you share with me ur throw barb set up for travincals so i can copy that if u dont mind before ladder reset to test it?

about what you said talking about mf and runs, yeah totally makes sense and i prefeer runes runs /hour than mf

also have a second eth warshrike in stash, sometimes i use dual warshrike over lac + warshrike if i dont want the fear-effect of lacerator. mostly using lac + warshrike.

the cheapest inventory you can get is probably max/ar/life grand charms, I only use sc:s like 3/15/20 since I gradually upgraded my gm-melee-paladin and have lots of spares. got some large charms like 6/48/33 too.

Hard points at level 93:
197 base dex
61 base str
292 base vita

It's never even close to dying in trav and can handle tier 5 heralds. If I level it up more I will put more dex.


509-4767 Double throw dmg mainhand
1684-4010 Double throw dmg offhand
16781 attack rating.
3588 life.

Skills:
You can play around here, I find myself never using leap for example. Some ppl like to put 1p battlecry but i cba :)
You won´t need 7p battle orders really, could do one point and get higher find item. Iam at 72% on swap with dual hoto, could go for 75%. I haven´t fully optimized this for trav but if I did it would be 1p battle orders and probably even more dex.

max:
throwing mastery/double throw/double swing, find potio

1 point:
leap, leap attack, frenzy, natural resistance, iron skin, increased stamina, increased speed, battle command

6points:
find item

7 points:
battle orders

merc:
faith matriarchal bow
guardian angel (ral)
steel shade (ral)

merc for non-travi:
swap helm and armor to andy(ral) / fort

ps, using merc with fire arrow over cold and made sure to have no cold dmg for hork..

Woah thats a lot! Really helps me, tomorrow i Will rework my pala and do that . Maybe i Will miss the faith bow tho. Gotta do maths with my fgs hehe. Btw what bow base?
