I made a Guardian for the first time just now and noticed I couldn't use a couple charms -- character class can't use this charm it said when I tried to put it on (one was lightning and the other was earth). What charms exactly can a Guardian use? Thanks for the help if you know the answer. I don't really want to read through a large guide where I can't find the answer.

This page shows information of each class. Only heal charms can be used on a Guardian. (Charms: Wild Heal, Heal, Focused Heal)

Well I played a Barbarian in the past -- never even tried healing of any kind. It's nice to see I got the Retribution barbarian skill handy on my new Guardian since I'm familiar with it already. I'll probably make some type of hybrid breed that can tank, fight and heal. If I ever learn how to use the healing spells or the healing charms that is. Thanks for the help and link.

Maybe you looked at an old link from a suggestion? Sounds like one of my noobish ideas.

Anyway... Heal type charms only... I think you may like to check my game style... Link here... look at the Guardian... which I have come to love
and change some things to fit your gamestyle... not that if you are tanking and taking 0 (zero) dmg from monsters, Retribution & Salvation will NOT
charge up... important to know... maybe only use 70% type EE armor... upto you.

You don't have to use heavy weapons, it is just there because I like them.

Hope it helps

So far I'm in love with Retribution and Salvation as a combo. I plan to level them up accordingly. I'm getting hit by monsters a lot and they charge often. I do big damage also but I'll probably keep my stats pretty even. I got to raise my dex a lot more it seems like. The Warhammer is my weapon of choice and I doubt I want to use anything else. I love to melee and heal myself as I go. It saves me many trips to town. Thank you for the link it will help me.

If you plan on only using Warhammers you don't need any dex.

Strength/Dexterity Ratio: 90/10

Means you should have 90% str and 10% dex.

However warhammers can be hard to find and I suggest you use a mix of Warhammers / Longswords / Battle Axes (all of them work good even if you pump stats to strength)

Ouch... dex on a warhammer is not the option... pointed out by SCXiao.

Glad you love that setup... remember that heavy weapons have a 2 second delay vs other weapons of 1 second delay... and if you come across the monster "PeakTrice" be warned it could kill you... it paralyzes you... basically... 4 second delay when attacking with a heavy weapon... so use Retribution on that fvck asap (well if it will do mass dmg)

Goodluck... read the link a bit more... get use to some of the things based on builds. Great to see you enjoying that build...

Only thing I need to know is if the enhanced effect % makes a positive difference when using the healing charm? Somebody told me a couple months ago that it's useless for melee damage -- at the time I had only played barbarians (so I only got strength, max life or dex charms) -- but the person told me it works with spells aka casting abilities... But does that include the healing charms?

Enhance Effect ONLY works with the item it is on:
Weapon = Damage
Cast Charm = Damage
Armor = Defense
Heal Charm = Healing

What level do I need to be before I can do the Master Quest? I don't remember. I've been soloing the entire time with no help.

Been playing a little here and there (not much).
