Depends. Do you have d3 experience in softcore? If not stay on softcore for a while and find out which char fits you best. For me its Monk. Great survivability/

DH is probably best HC char this season

UE great for farming and is invincible in T16 and lower GR's.

You can stack so much dmg reduce if needed, which is great for doing echoing nightmares. In particular you can hit like 85% damage reduction by using yangs along with that crafted set that allows your dmg reduction to equal your resource cost reduction.
yangs = 50% + 10%
Cube that helm that allows for 30% rcr if you don't take dmg for 5 sec = 30%
set = 20%
paragon = 10%
shoulder = 8%
quiver = 8%

ends up being like 85% resource cost reduction which in turn becomes 85% damage reduction. you can also then spam as much hatred and discipline spending stuff you want and never dip below full resources, which is important for the UE build.
