Unfortunately I don't believe that cross-play exists for Diablo 3. While Diablo 2: Resurrected only has cross-progression. Would be very cool if both games featured cross-play and cross-progression. Maybe one day they'll go ahead and add it. The technology is there but it's all hands on deck for Diablo 4 and they've gotten super lazy with D3 and D2R. The Dev Team for the classic games at Blizzard Entertainment is currently very small compared to newer games. We're lucky to still get frequent updates (balance changes) for Heroes of the Storm. Which to me is the greatest MOBA.
For example I play D3 and D2R on my Nintendo Switch. And at the moment D3 isn't working on my iMac for some reason (bugged beyond repair). I'll probably figure it out eventually but it's beyond frustrating. So I may jump on my Switch later tonight just to play an hour or two of Diablo 3. We're day two into the new season and I'm itching to play. Usually I can satisfy all my Diablo 3 playing desires after two or three weeks into the new season, and then I'm completely done until the next season starts.
For trading purposes on Diablo 3 you have to participate in your specific platform. PC or Console Trading (PS, XBOX, Switch). They're all different.
