Ill keep this thread up to date with any upgrades I manage to find, unfortunately god tier monk upgrades are a pain to find as they have to be *so* specific and when they pop up their often listed for a stupid 500 mil +.



Because im an idiot and by the time I realised it was far to late to switch. In terms of being #1 im probably not but sword + shield monks are few and far between these days find me one with 1100+loh 1050+ res 60k + health 50k+ damage and 1.8+ AS and 30+ block and ill happily give up the title though :P.



Choose against doing this as running trifecta ammy + rings in *applied dps* actually results in slower clears. With my AS + LS + DEF and LOH im able to face tank all elite mobs allowing me to constantly spam overawe giving me 40% increased damage 90% of the time to not only my base dps but also my horde of tornadoes.



About 120 mil.



The trophy is the collection, not everything is god tier but theres *at least* 700-800 mil worth of gear here.

Running Overawe + Cyclone + Fot most elite mobs melt in seconds, not really interested in DWing but that's justa personal preference. The only real way I can see my clear time's being *significantly* improved would be more MS which unfortunately is only on a handful of junk gear.

Respectfully disagree guys i've tried both face tank, spam overawe works out better *for me* than the extra dps but once again this is a personal play style thing.

I really suggest you to try out the dualwielding thing, of course depending you can afford a real good offhander. I was 2 days ago still having the same feelings as you about the dual wield, my shield setup also makes the elites go to grave during serenitys duration. It wasn't so bad to waste 200 resistances from shield and chest armor for more damage, actually 800 allres is really enough for act3.. I'm hitting all the time 200-270k criticals now, with shield it was only up to 160k or something.

Admitting the same thing as vasya below, that it's a lot more chillout feeling when playing with shield, just needed to test it after couple of days dualwielding, can jump without serenity into any fight. Only problem i've met dualwielding are those damn nice arcane, molten and then vortex for the tip of the iceberg. But propably it's problem for almost everyone to dance in the 5x arcanedisco while moonwalking on molten

hmm i have seen guy facerolling elites in seconds with much worth gear on dual weld monk

but yeah playing as a tank is more chilled out play and more enjoyable if you actually enjoying the game, since most of the people dont enjoy the game and just want to farm as fast as they can to get gear and make profit

what mantra you running?

You still spam overawe and facetank elites with your res and hp while on dual. imo, your def is overkill. Well goodluck with your style.
