i think i saw a pic of that grim once too, it was green iirc?
seriously tho ilvl can tell you a lot about how an item originated, whomever owns that grim or the bh should check ilvl and lmk^^
if it's 99 then it was probably rolled, if 91-98 it /could/ have been gambled, but pretty unlikely. other lvls can be attributed to certain bosses/areas

/e i'm curious, cuz this thread got me to thinking. here's that bh some expac kid showed up with on east

lvl91 couldn't have dropped from any classic boss, so it was either hacked into the game somehow or someone used a reroll method

Dare say that bh was brought into the world the same way this was. Yeah it's xpac kids. If ti pay them right they do it for you too ;) the first shield was green, cuz the xpac guy didn't know about classic classic colours, the second is red.

that's kinda lame :(
what's the point of playing classic where the items are all one-of-a-kind rares but hack ones into the game with perfect mods all the same? might as well just go play expansion where everyone uses the same runeword items with perfect stats

i'd personally boycott those kind of hacked items, but i'm sure people would still buy them just for pride to have #1 possible crap lol

Hi :) Just curious about the s/s of the 105-194, 200ed battle hammer from USeast. It should have 150 extra ar with amy socket? It only has 145ar?

the hack they were using omitted the mods from the socket. the s/s was also taken by someone else who wasn't actually holding the hammer, but using a hack to "peek" others' gear

not true.... not everybody just has perfect stuff like the spirit there are hundreds of bases and when you use the runewords theres a tiny % chance to roll perfect (25-35 fcr 80-112 mana and 4-8 sorb)

/e well not different bases but different mods on bases

what i meant was everyone is looking for the same thing, everyone is looking for 15/15 superior armors, weapons, shields etc to rune socket in hopes of getting the same things
classic is never so straight-forward, one does not simply find the perfect base or roll the perfect runeword. you might eventually find some loot with really good mods, but you can never realistically hope to find something "perfect." i think this is what appeals to a great deal of the players, and importing perfect or near-perfect items tarnishes that facet of the game.

lvl91 couldn't have dropped from any classic boss, so it was either hacked into the game somehow or someone used a reroll method

/e/e
cube recipies for rerolling in classic:

1 Perfect Skull + 1 Rare Item + Stone of Jordan = 1 High Quality New Rare Item of the same type
This formula has the possibility of creating a higher quality Rare Item than the following formula. ilvl = int(.66 * clvl) + int(.66 * ilvl) That is, the ilvl will be equal to .66 times your clvl (rounded down) plus .66 times the input item's ilvl (also rounded down).

6 Perfect Skulls + 1 Rare Item = 1 Random Low Quality Rare Item of the same type
You can use this formula to get another chance at a Rare Item of the same type.ilvl = int(.4 * clvl) + int(.4 * ilvl) Player level matters. This formula will not work on items larger than 3x2.

if someone used soj+skull continuously, to consistently roll a lvl 91 item, you would need a lvl 48 char.... but here's the kicker: you would already need a lvl91 item to reroll as 91 each time. 90 would stay 90 at the same level. and why not just use a level 61 character in the first place? thats the min clvl to hit 99 every time and not hard to achieve even on classic lol

what i find funny about that ss is its ame soc, with 145 ar....
