why is american history something to be ashamed of?

Our political offices weren't ever full of incestuous families, stingy kings and queens leaving their people to starve while they live lavish lives, extreme religious oppression AND slavery (we had slavery), extreme tax pays to the people who were already poor, and numerous other things i dont need to bother typing since you already know.
