I've bought several new 3ds games and none of them come with legit manuals anymore :(
I bought a couple new (but old) ds games and they both came with thick, colored manuals lolol... i likey :OOO
Are manuals really a thing of the past? It's rather heartbreaking

Most of the games are far too easy anymore to need them.
They have like 20 mins tutorials, so I assume to save paper/money, they just let you learn in game.

I wouldn't call the 2 page piece of paper they put in there a manual xD the actual manual exists... in the cartridge itself! 3ds games come with an e-manual, select the game, look at the bottom of the touchscreen, you have 2 options, open/launch and manual

I do after beating the game xD
And usually, there's some hidden lore/parts of the story in them (Sometimes-Obv one like Mario is the same ole "save the princess" story).

I think the only manuals I ever read were the DKC ones because they included a cast list of all the kongs, baddies and animal buddies and I liked learning thier names.

Yep. In Japan, there was a comic included in the manual of Starfox Adventures that filled in the missing time between Lylat Wars and then (But the game's story itself was never complete due to what was left of Rare not giving a crap and Nintendo rushing to push a Starfox title).
