It is single-player, but to me that doesn't really matter. Ian has mentioned the main reason why they didn't do MP is because the MMO is being worked on.

Also mobs will respawn in 3 days in-game time (2 hours and 24 minutes real life time [I didn't do the math myself]). Still unsure about the dungeon respawns, might take longer and other mobs to take them over?

No auto-level for monsters either. So if you get killed a lot in an area you can go back to it and they will stay a certain level.

Can't wait for this game.  :D

that makes me happy, i hate grinding lvls just for everything else to get stronger with me.

Yeah, auto-leveling mobs does make leveling up easier also which I don't like. So i'm happy about that. I hope they made some changes from Pre-Alpha to Alpha footage that was shown. I know they show the mob level above their health bar, but I didn't really like how it looked but not sure. What I don't like is the shield, it pops out from nowhere when you block, I hope it shows on your back on release.

ya i agree with the shield thingy.
make it like demons souls or something, it makes switching back and forth so worth the extra little bit of effort to make it that way.

Yeah, I agree. I understand for mage you have a talisman that creates a little magical shield when you block but for warrior you have to have classic sword and board. For right now the UI appears a bit cheesy to me, but I know when i'm playing I probably won't really be concerned about it at all. Aesthetics vs Actual gameplay right now though.

Such amazing highlight packs.

^_^ I wanted to post them if I could so those curious gets a better idea of what the game is about if it isn't too obvious that is. Also because they never touched on the "finesse" 'class' from what i've seen.

If anyone cares about the pre-order bonus or what they are:

If you pre-order Amalur from Origin, EA's service, you'll get the The Fate-Touched Weapons Pack. This pack comes with "an arsenal of rare Fate-Touched weapons including a longbow, hammer, staff, faeblades, daggers, scepter, chakrams, longsword and greatsword. The weapons will help satisfy every player’s combat style with Reckoning’s on-the-fly weapon swapping in combat to take down even the most dreadful of foes."

If you pre-order from GameStop you'll get The Fate-Touched Weapons Pack plus The Destinies Choice Pack. This pack "Offers a unique "Twist of Fate" card to enhance the beginning of your gameplay experience, the Compass of Fate and three unique armor sets. Each armor set is tailored to a specific class which players will define and redefine during their time in Amalur."

Finally, if you pre-order the game from Amazon you'll get the Fate-Touched Weapons Pack plus The Ultimate Treasure Hunter Pack. This pack is "For treasure hunters who will dive into every nook and cranny in the world of Amalur, the Dowsing Rod will seek out all reagents for concocting potions on your in-game map. A worthy companion tool for any adventurer, the Dowsing Rod will help players get the most out of their alchemy skill."

Gamestop seems like the best preorder?

Although, the treasure hunting pack would be sick too...

Yeah, g4tv is where I got that little piece and the author of it said something of "If I were to order, i'd do Gamestop".

I did Amazon. Not sure whom would do Origin will get the same weapon pack as Origin and the treasure hunting from Amazon. Err I just clearly read through them all lol, you all get the weapon pack but only Gamestop and Amazon give another little kicker bonus.

*I'm guessing the item bonus packs are probably a "starter kit" though? I doubt they'd scale with you as you level.

I think the items might scale with you, but wouldn't be like "epic"

As far as the treasure hunting kit thats permanently useful , I just think the unique scaling armor sounds cool

They don't scale, as I thought (Which I think is good in my opinion).

Do the Fate-touched weapons and pre-order armor sets scale with my character’s level?

No, the Fate-touched weapons and pre-order armor sets are intended to be awesome items to help you get started in Reckoning. They’ll give you a great edge as you forge your path in Amalur, but they do not level up with your character.
