example:

あなたはなにすき・ですか。

= (from) what do you like ?

so is the "ga"- particle a way of saying "from".

it's hard to explain cause english and japan are so different languages.. do you have any answers ?

(iik, and did I spell my: Anata wa nani ga suki-desu ka? correctly ? )

Briefly: は puts emphasis on the proceeding word and が puts emphasis on the preceding word. You get it down from seeing lots of examples since it isn't very easy to grasp.

wa marks the topic and ga marks the subject/object~

I'm confused, is it watashiHA or WAtashiha that marks the topic, i thought watashi = I...and i guess HA at the end would ...emphazsize/ mark the topic? -shrugs-

From my understanding,


Wa signifies the subject

Ga adds emphasis to the fact that it is a particular subject and no other


~ That's what my japanese teacher taught me
