Today's group is Kara. Kara is a 5 member group that debuted in 2007. Although when they debuted they only had 4 members; Gyuri, Sunghee, Nicole, and Seung-yeon. Sunghee was forced to quit the group by her parents(she promised her parents if she was an idol she would keep her grades up, but she was unable to keep her promise) So she left the group and soon after 2 new members were added; Jiyoung and Hara. Since Sunghees departure the group underwent a image change, from a hip hop group to a more cutesy one. I do like both styles the group had, although no one can take Sunghee place, her voice was powerful and brought a unique sound to the group. This song was originaly in Japanese(Kara is currently promoting in Japan) This is their Korean version, though both are good I prefer the Korean version. I will post both though so you can decide for yourself.

Enjoy!

Today's group is 2am. 2am is made up of the other 4 members from One Day(This 11 member group broke up into a 7 member rnb group and a 4 member ballad group) The members are: Jinwoon, Jo Kwon, Seulong, and Changmin. 2am officially debuted on July 11, 2008 with the single "This Song" They had a comeback in 2009 with another single "Confession of a Friend". Then in January of 2010 they came back with their 2nd mini album, the song they promoted was "Can't Let You Go Even If I Die". Normally I would say more about a group, but I don't know that much about 2am and google has failed me. -_-

Anyways, Enjoy!

Today's group is Shinee. Shinee is a 5 member male group, its members are: Minho, Key, Taemin, Jonghyun, and leader Onew. Shinee is under the same management as other popular groups SNSD, F(x), Super Junior, and solo singer Boa. They debuted in 2008 with the song "Noona Neomu Yeppeo (Replay) and have come out with many singles since. During their career they have stared in 2 reality shows; one a dating show where they date older women and the other a show where they took care of a 4 year old child.(Fellow label mates snsd also participated in caring for a child in the previous season) Their most recent full length album "Lucifer" was a huge hit, along with their title track with the same name. Within hours of the release, the album topped various physical and digital sales charts in South Korea.

Enjoy!

So for the next few days we are going to go on a trip to the past; back when the girls were cute, the boys were a tad strange, one group was secksie, and the choice of clothing was just awful. But we will forgive these fashion faux paus because the music....well theres just nothing like it.

Today's Old School group is M.I.L.K, it stands for Made In Lovely Kin(Something you will notice over the next few days is a lot of groups used abbreviations for their names) Milk was a 4 member girl group, the members were Bomi, Yumi, Jaeyoung, and Hyunjin. They debuted in 2001 and disbanded in 2003 when Yumi left. They only released 1 album "With Freshness" but they did participate in many SM Town songs. I think these girls could have been very popular, they had a cute image, good songs, and were contracted under SM.(SM is responsible for many of Kpop's legendary idol groups) This is my favorite song by this group.

Enjoy!

Today's Old School group is Fin.K.L, it stands for Fine Killing Liberty. The name was supposed to mean that the group stood against "the oppression of all freedom"(Seems a little too political for a pop group to me, but whatever lol) Fin.k.l had 4 members: Joohyun, Jin, Yuri and Hyori. The group debuted in 1998 and disbanded(unofficially) in 2002; the group did briefly reunite in 2005 for a digital single(Fine Killing Liberty). Currently all of the members are pursuing their own musical career or acting in various dramas and tv shows. Though they are all busy with their solo careers many believe there could be a Fin.k.l reunion in the near future. Here's hoping :)

Enjoy!

Today's Old School group is Baby V.O.X, it stands for Baby Voices Of Xpression. Now this group has an interesting history, they debuted in 1997 and disbanded in 2006. Throughout the years they had many member changes for various reasons; some had conflicts with other members, some had conflicts with their management, one girl was kicked out for lying about her age(she said she was 20, turns out she was 30) but even though they had a rocky history they did mange to have much success between 1999 and 2004. Baby V.O.X was considered to be the longest running girl band in South Korea, but since their disbandment that title is now held by the group Jewerly. (Fun fact, Baby V.O.X has had a total of 9 members over the years)

Enjoy!

Today's Old School group is H.O.T, It stands for High-Five Of Teenagers. The 5 member group debuted in 1996 and disbanded in 2001; their members were: Hee Jun, Woo Hyuk, Tony An, Jae Won, and Kang Ta. Their first big single was titled "Candy" and it was the first of many hit songs for the group. H.O.T was a huge success and had an enormous fanbase, which was so large that they held their first live concert at the Olympic Park Gymnasium Area in Seoul. H.O.T's members were very involved in their music; many of the memebrs wrote lyrics and raps for their songs. And Hee Jun and Woo Hyuk, who were known for their dancing skills, often choreographed the groups dance routines.

Enjoy!

Today's Old School group is Shinhwa, this groups name isn't an abbreviation like the other groups(Shinhwa is the Korean word for myth or legend) This 6 member group is made up of 3 rappers and 3 vocalists, the members are: Minwoo, JunJin, Dongwan, Andy, Eric, Hyesung. Shinhwa debuted in 1998 and is still considered to be together. Though almost all of the members have had solo careers and have even created their own production companies they have never disbanded. Eric and Andy were the only 2 members with exposure to the media since they had appeared in S.E.S's I'm Your Girl the year before Shinhwa's debut.

Enjoy!

Today's group is TVXQ, it stands for Tong Vfang Xien Qi(I don't know what this translates to). Originally a 5 member group, TVXQ currently has only 2 members. The original 5 were: Yunho, Max, Hero, Xiah, Mickey. But in July of 2009 3 members, Mickey, Xiah, and Hero filed a lawsuit against their management company stating that their contracts were too harsh and that they wanted to renegotiate more reasonable terms. Then in April of 2010 the 3 members who filed the lawsuit became a 3 member group called JYJ(It stands for Junsu, Yuchun, Jejung which are the members real names) JYJ has had a lot of trouble since they broke away from their management but the group stands strong with the large fanbase. The remaining 2 members Max and Yunho have stayed with SM and are promoting their new single "Keep Your Head Down" on various music programs and concerts.

Today I am posting 2 videos, the first is "Miroric" Which is my favorite TVXQ song from when they had 5 members and the second is "Keep Your head Down" Which is their current single.

Enjoy!
