Wild boars... hmm, so males have Tusks, but Female DON'T?
I don't know, but generalizing using the wording "Wild Boar" can be single minded and saying that a "wild boar" is both male and female. Especially when you don't hunt "Wild Boar"
ALL pigs grow tusks; males, females, even spayed and neutered pigs. An intact male boar is going to have the fastest tusk growth because it is fueled by testosterone, whereas a neutered male and intact female's tusk grow slower.
boar, also called wild boar or wild pig, any of the wild members of the pig species Sus scrofa, family Suidae. The term boar is ALSO used to designate the male of the domestic pig, guinea pig, and various other mammals. The term wild boar, or wild pig, is sometimes used to refer to ANY wild member of the Sus genus.
