hit the backspace button then click on a new character... same amount of clicks (and better because you can select any character, not just the one ahead or behind)

Yup, this is what i currently HAVE to do... tabs numbered 1-16 will still be quicker.
Characters on MP are listed in the same order as your characters in your profile (if not using TILE function... then you have to play Odds N Evens)

Either way... this suggestion to me makes sense, also eliminates browser searching.
