Has anyone read these before? I just finished book one and I think it feels like it is out of order, as book 2 should have been first, and #1 should have been number 2.
Does this make sense to anyone?

Are you sure you read it right? or was it purposely like that?

According to Wiki, there are several books between them, but they are all in order. It just seems as though there was more backstory in Nemesis than in Mercadian Masques. Like seriously in Mercadian Masques it refers several times to some of the people who had been left behind on Rath, when the Skyship Weatherlight jumped planes, and the character who held the portal open, the mage guy who's name escapes me now, fell into the rigging of the Predator, and Mirri, cat warrior, and someone else were left in Rath. This was all explained in Nemesis, however it was mentioned in Mercadian masques as leaving the characters behind.
Now how can you leave characters behind in the first book, then explain how they are left, and build story lines around them in the next book?

Also, what happened to Mirri, Cat Warrior?

Yeah, I just realized, much to my own stupidity that the Weatherlight saga starts with... Weatherlight and ends with Apocalypse.

I liked the Invasion and Odyssey sets a lot more O.o.

Nemesis was cool though.

Personally I was a fan of mercadian masques and nemesis but now that I see there is so much more of a back story I went out to amazon and ordered thereafter of them.

if u want some good recommendations, try: Rath and Storm (Magic the Gathering Anthology), Gerrard`s Quest(this one is supplementary to the first one, but basically the same storyline) , and The Art of Magic: The Rath Cycle(this one has a lot of art references related to the story if you like that). Though if u have to choose one get the anthology(the first one). The story told is about Gerrards, and the weatherlight crew, its a must read for anyone who likes these novels.
