I like fantasy stories

Terry Brooks Shannara series is probably my all time favorite. Easy to read but kept me interested and entertained.

I could't read Tolkien after seeing LotR movie. I put down Wheel of Time b/c the author was only at book 7 or 8, never could pick it back up. I've finished A Song of Ice and Fire and this was really good but it is not finished either (only 5 out of 7 books complete). And I started The Dark Tower series but I put it down b/c school started and I have no time to read except text books.

I think Shannara is your best bet.

Really guys? I've read the books and i fin them really repetitive. Like every book is just a carbon copy of the other except Brooks renamed the characters.

Don't get me wrong I like the books but I don't think I'd recommend them to someone just getting into the swing of things.

Also I loved the Wheel of Time series own and read all the books out so far quite good.

I'd try the Discworld Series if I were you. Short books but funny and very well written.

i recommend the hobbit by tolkien
or try his dark materials series (not bad from what i remember)

You could try Ender's Game/ Ender's Shadow. Ender's Shadow is probably on of my favorite books.
