reading is my childhood, it's an old friend, a forever friend hopefully

For me I'm still at the initial stages of reading as a hobby - it takes me a while to get into a book, but once I dive in I get pretty hooked.
I guess it just takes reading more regularly to be able to enjoy the experience fully.
