So I guess you like fantasy?

Try the Malazan book of the fallen

Gardens of the Moon - Steven Erikson

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/55399.Gardens_of_the_Moon

Really good series :] bought the 4th book recently and I do not regret it one bit^

The Night Angel trilogy will always work

The Way of Shadows - Brent Weeks

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3227063-the-way-of-shadows

Guess I could rec more if you want oO but I'd suggest these :> Really nice plots and story development (imo)

I know the feeling mate >>

Spur of the moment rec's:

The name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss (think most ppl in this forum can vouch for it^) | http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/186074.The_Name_of_the_Wind

The wheel of time by Robert Jordan. 13th book out(haven't read it yet so I'm hyped!) decent series, pretty well known | http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/228665.The_Eye_of_the_World

The Forgotten realms by R.A Salvatore (Dark elf trilogy) is about Drizzt Do'Urden the dark elf and his adventures | http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/50027.Homeland

Ranger's Apprentice, little bit for the newer audience compared to other books, easily read and very entertaining | http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/60400.The_Ruins_of_Gorlan

Hopefully it'll help ya out some^^

Also, The Dark Tower by Stephen King. 7 books out, I believe. It is more of a horror fantasy, however.

And since noone else has mentioned him, I will; Tolkien. The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, et cetera. All incredibly good reads.
