Lol @ your topic title, I feel the same way every time I post a pic of a kid.
Lovely photos, you captured a lot of detail in that snow.
Ah! Someone who understands! haha!
It is hard for me to take pictures or whatever, just to take pictures.... if I feel forced to click that shutter, it will reflect in my photography.... I must be 'inspired' ..
I am not always inspired by horses either.... most disciplines (dressage, jumping, barrels) get me all happy, but reining I just can't stand it and not appealed to do photos of...
I dislike city life, architecture, cars, most people

and I don't own a macro lens not a wide angle.
I don't know really how to use a flash and have no clue about studio lighting.
But I love shooting horses in general, I love horses and I think it shows in my photography...
Well, I must do something right, because I get work from it while some people will charge 1/5 of what I charge....
But photography now is more than just taking pictures...
To get a product that people will like and be willing to pay for, I post process the photos with LR now (finally lol) and Photoshop (mostly for the clone tool and adding my logo)
Also I used to hate working the black and white, but now with Silver Effex Pro (with LR) I just LOVE it!!!!
I'll try to find some I did with it...

I will buy this lens! Just a matter of time. It's also tempting to ... trade someone for it... my zoom for it. but I'd only want to do that to someone I trust... mine's barely used O_O
I know

It is a very expensive lens but it will change the way you feel about clicking that shutter button!
But you may want to just save for it and keep your 70-200... I just bought the 70-200 II 2.8 in OK (much cheaper than Canada) and now I feel complete....
I am also lucky I won a local photo contest with 'harvesting' as the theme, and got 500 $ that must be spent towards photo equipment... so I have to go next week with my receipt for the 70-200 and I'll get 500 $
Seriously.... I know it's far and not cheap.. but come visit, we will go everywhere with our cameras and it's going to be super fun!!!!

Beautiful pictures. You made that horse look so gorgeous, and the snow falling made it all magical.
Great shots! =-]
Thank you! Snow can be a nightmare for some, but it looks so good on pictures!
But it can be tricky at times when the flakes are big enough to come in front of your focus point and change it all.... but that is what digital photography is good for, you can take as many photos as you want and it's not more expensive!

love the last 2
but think the 2nd last might look better if you didnt cut part of the horse off
24-70 is prob the most used and most versatile lens, although my fav is my 70-200 even though its not used near as much
Thank you!
I don't remember why I had to crop the lower part of the horse, there was something that couldn't be there.... but I agree with you it would have been better if the horse was complete..
