Raw all day, errday. I like having complete control over every aspect of my shots, from shooting to editing.

well said. RAW speaks the origin of the Darkroom :p

+ you deleting is not an option since, if you dont like the picture your client might still like it.

>_<

everything professional and useful goes raw, everything else is jpg.
(even on low end cameras, use raw to get the full potential)

if you have raw - who needs jpg?

edit: shooting a d7000 like an f5 on a shooting is good, if you get the shot you desire. But every shot you miss is a missed opportunity, so rather try some more different angles and go nuts and select your pictures later from a bunch of raw images.

RAW+JPEG is just a hobby of mine. i am fond of editing photos and comparing them. i would never give a client a JPEG processed from my camera.

what i meant was i am careful with my shots like my F5 i always recompose to see if there is a better angle that i can shoot. im very meticulous ><. but i havent done sports, wildlife photography because i don't have the time for it yet. i dislike multiple shutter clicks, its like guessing.

Raw + small jpeg when I'm on location.

When I shoot tethered to a laptop into Lightroom it's only RAW

:)

Raw, for sure. My 40D screen fucking sucks (Seriously, I hate the shit out of the 40D screen, it's not accurate) so sometimes my exposure isn't right. Exposure can be fixed very easily with raw without destroying the picture or making it look too tampered.

more shooting, less chimping :D

I always shoot manual, gotta set my lighting according to the surroundings before I start shooting. Can't have a bunch of blown out or dark pics.

Just adjust while you shoot, check your histograms while you go (info button on the canon), make sure your camera is also setup to display brightness clipping. This will flash the parts which are overexposed in your image.

Ehh... I tried the shooting in raw, and never saw the real benefit... it takes up too much memory on my memory card.

I haven't got back into shooting raw, don't know why. Just not into it right now, even if it would do so much better for me.

When I did shoot raw, I was at raw + jpeg in case shots I didn't feel like editing were there I could just waste less time. But it takes up lots of memory

I shoot in JPEG, easier and faster than RAW, and others does not give a single fuck what do you do with your picture, I mean if you shoot in JPEG and you say you have shot in RAW, people will believe you cuz they don't know what is that and they say they look the same.
So I think it does not worth to shoot in RAW.

this is just my opinion :)

He probably mean that saving JPG is less data on his mby slowass memorycard, also he probably dont edit those much anyway.

i shoot raw for work and for myself.
