Hello everyone :)

I would like if some one could help me out and guide me on my first few steps to making greater photos :)

I really enjoy taking pictures but lately I started to notice that my simple "point-shoot" digital camera don't provide enough of what I need.
So Im thinking to take a next big step and learning and getting some new nice camera.
But what should I get ? DSLR Camera or some nice high end "point-shoot" camera ?
The DSLR Cameras are pretty expensive as I noticed and they require alot of knowledge and how to use and take care of them " dust"
But alot of good once are come with self censer cleaner and stuff like that so its not that big of a problem after all.
I guess I should also talk about what kind of pictures I take ?

I really like taking photos of nature , outside some close ups and actually I take alot of different photos and types.
Also moving objects , want it to take good sharp and clear photos .

Examples of what I took before .

Also if I understood correctly the DSLR cammers will require different lenses for different type of shoots , like for close up I will need one.. for open range image other.. right ?

So so far.. Im looking at 2 different cameras ..
One is point-shoot that looks kinda ok

Nikon Coolpix P510

and

DSLR
Canon EOS REBEL T3i

any feedback/help/tips is welcome
Thank you

If you're serious about getting into photography, DSLR or nothing. No reason to limit yourself.

Don't look at multiple lenses as a requirement, look at it as a privilage, it's a good thing.

The D3100 as stated above is an amazing starter camera. I owned one for a few months and for an entry level camera it's fantastic, great HD video aswell. But personally I prefer Canon.

t2i is slightly better than t3i but the t2i doesnt have the movable lcd screen. theres a comparison between the two and the differences are very minimal. i love my t2i and i think its pretty decent for a starting camera.

I would say the Canon would do you pretty good for your first! I think it's a pretty decent cameras, I have seemed to hear a lot of people talking about the T3 ones. I prefer Canon as well.

You will find yourself wanting to buy lenses too, to get things - and honestly, they're worth every penny! I love all the lenses I bought and I wish I could get more. They are pricey though, for the good ones. I am sure you'll enjoy this part of photography and grow a lot from it!

For close up/zoom, yes, you will need lenses. Some lenses will allow you to zoom/get closer, but there are lenses out there that are specifically close up etc. For nature, a wide angle is really enjoyable to use as well. I use the Sigma 10-20mm and it works great (there's a Canon one for a lot more money). But I imagine you want to buy the camera first and focus on lenses later. Save up, you won't regret it :) Good luck!
