why do you shoot row + jpg? its nonsense...

raw on good cameras ( ff sensor )) and for clients or worth personal stuff...
jpeg for friends and fun and worthless shit...

keep in mind that raw files of a d800E take about 60 MB a picture -> and about 700 pictures a 32 CF Card thats 500 GB for a month of shootings. Thats 100€ / Month just for storage... :P
what the hell are jpgs for anyway? ;-) if you have a good camera push it to its limit and always develop the jpg from the raw.... ! :P

I used to shoot jpg only before I had access to Lightroom because my Photoshop version wouldn,t take the RAW files...
Now I shoot everything in RAW except when I have to shoot all day long without access to my computer to empty my cards, which does happen sometimes.
I use a 16 Gb card and I have a 8 Gb card as a back up.

Shooting RAW+JPEG to me is fun, I like comparing my Processed RAW to the JPEG

since when did i say i use a ff sensor i use a d7000 not a d800E
but ofc i will shoot all RAW when i get my ff camera someday

my average raw files are around 16mb-24mb
i use dual 32gb sdhc's but that doesn't mean i go crazy on that shutter button.
my behavior on shooting is like how i shoot with my F5 except now my sessions are longer ^_^

it all come down to in selection on what i think is worth keeping... it might not make sense to some but thats how i like to manage my files
i keep all my RAW files

storage isn't an issue i have 5TB in my disposable. not to mention i could always compress my JPEG's or delete them
Storage Room is not expensive at all these days. You could get a 2TB for $100 on sale. as for 32GB SD C10 for about $20-$30 (at least that was the cost for mine)

e/
and that's really cool Marie :)
its kind of weird on how data fills more in to our cards then the the JPEG's

Raw all day, errday. I like having complete control over every aspect of my shots, from shooting to editing.

+ you deleting is not an option since, if you dont like the picture your client might still like it.

>_<

everything professional and useful goes raw, everything else is jpg.
(even on low end cameras, use raw to get the full potential)

if you have raw - who needs jpg?

edit: shooting a d7000 like an f5 on a shooting is good, if you get the shot you desire. But every shot you miss is a missed opportunity, so rather try some more different angles and go nuts and select your pictures later from a bunch of raw images.

Raw + small jpeg when I'm on location.

When I shoot tethered to a laptop into Lightroom it's only RAW

Raw, for sure. My 40D screen fucking sucks (Seriously, I hate the shit out of the 40D screen, it's not accurate) so sometimes my exposure isn't right. Exposure can be fixed very easily with raw without destroying the picture or making it look too tampered.
