Hi,
The United Kingdom introduced a law that requires websites to verify a users age when adult content is available, Imgur didn't want to appease this law by introducing a age verification system (rightfully so) and so Ofcom in the UK opened a probe which could have resulted in Imgur being fined heavily in the United Kingdom so Imgur outright just blocked all Imgur content from being visible and accessible.
I made myself a browser tool as you can see below which intercepts connections to Imgur and re-routes them so that I can see everyones images, signatures... etc, my default is re-routing through DuckDuckGo because it works the best, wsrv.nl works great, but gets rate limited, Photon is too slow, public http proxies are hit and miss...

You can't upload images via DuckDuckGo, so I have to tunnel all requests to api.imgur.com through through a public proxy and as a result I can upload images to d2jsp without having a VPN running.
However, as mentioned the public proxies are hit and miss plus no one else has this extension so all d2jsp members from the UK who aren't using a VPN cannot upload images to the forums.
It would be good if you could either:
- Automatically choose a different upload provider for members in the UK
- Add a fallback so if the image upload provider fails, it falls back to using a different provider.
(This could be beneficial anyway for all users, everywhere)The same goes for images, any link to an imgur.com image... it would be good if d2jsp automatically re-routed them through duckduckgo.
Thanks
