Hi,

The forums post editor is still stuck in early 2000's and hasn't had any real improvements to it, I'd like to see some improvements such as:

- A visual editor
- Color picker
- More webfont supports
- Support for hotkeys (CTRL + B) for bold for example
- BBcode duplication protections
- Preset styling buttons
- Bulk editor options...

I personally made myself a browser extension to improve it for just me, but it can be improved even easier by njaguar and the team. My current editor for example looks like:

- It supports hotkeys for bold, italitcs and underline at the moment
- "Apply All" checkbox allows me to mass bold sections on my posts like if I am posting 20 socketable items to Diablo II forums and select "Socketable" and click bold it will bold each one of them.
- "Wildcard" checkbox allows me to do "2 Socket" and "4 Socket" then if I select all a "2 Socket" and bold it, it will also bold the 4 Socket
- Color Picker, allows me to easily pick any color I want instead of just a few preset options
- Font, allows me to pick all webfonts + d2jsps used fonts, Size allows me to pick/set any font size I want not just a few presets.
- The UNQ, RARE, CRAFT... etc buttons are all presets which bold and color the selected text with specific colors for Diablo II.
- The refresh icon is just a debug tool for me.
- The erase button allows me to remove all bbcode/formatting on selected text
- The trashcan allows me to remove all bbcode/formatting from the entire post.

Thanks :)

No poll. Voted no. It's fine as it is.

I added a poll, and I’m curious — why vote No?

If you prefer not to use the modern editor, you can simply continue using the classic BBCode editor. It wouldn’t affect you at all but would still give others, like myself a more convenient and powerful option.

If you don't use any bbcode formatting, you type in either the Visual or BBCode tabs with ZERO change to your experience. The update essentially would be optional, not disruptive and only adds flexibility for those who want it.
