Most users know that when you report a topic or post you can keep reporting non stop, there was never a limit or time limit to how much you can report. Recently, not sure it has been either 2-3 years where the people who run the show have made it so that you can only report 3 topics per certain time limit. LOL, you can post 4x topics and can only report 3x topics. Do not understand the logic behind this but IF YOU COULD VOTE TO REVERSE THE PROCESS AND MAKE IT BACK TO UNLIMITED REPORTS PLEASE VOTE ON THE POLLS.

I voted no because I think people have a tendency to overdo things. I can imagine how many notifications the staff gets for posts or comments that aren't relevant to what's been reported.

If you have run out of report uses for time being and you think it is important to report you can always PM a staff member that handles that section directly.

In my opinion it should remain as it is currently.

If there was no limit then anyone could go around the forums and falsely report every post they see, which would make it more difficult for the moderators to respond to the real reports effectively.

If you hit the cap and see a post that needs immediate attention you can copy the link and pm it to an online Moderator assigned to that forum.

It's limited for a reason. People could abuse the report function and just mass report everything whether it's breaking the rules or not. That wastes the mods time by a lot.

This will not be changed.

As mentioned above there is more chance of report abuse than actual real legitimate reports if the flood timer is removed. You also only need to report one post in a thread typically as staff will review the whole thread when appropriate.

Additionally, as already stated, if you’re on cooldown from making reports just gather the links and send them to the appropriate staff member.
