I'm kind of indifferent on this so I won't say yes or no but a private server for D2 I use that has there own trading market that uses a virtual currency too but they put item trades as public with the prices so anyone can look and see what xxxx items were last sold for. Obviously you can search the history dating back to when their ladder started and current time to see price drops n stuff. It would still have to be member ran with info, you'd still have to enter what item it was in the notes field.

Just a simpler take on what you posted.

Yes thats also smart :-) I simply want to give d2jsp a little bit more spice to it. A charter of most standard sold items would be nice in my opinion. There is still new members to d2jsp every day that does not know the value of x item.

Which is completely fine. Everyone here has been new and needed to do their research.

I understand the idea however there are just too many variables to make it realistic. Maybe for like Runes or Items without varying stats. However, a "common" item like a shako, what if its eth, what if the def is XXX, what if it has high end jewel in it, what if its named? Theirs too much data collection required to give an accurate representation. The answer already exists in price checks and searching previous trades.

I like it, its very common in alot of games people make a "price guide".
Although I dont think the people trading alot would like it, less chance to make good deals.

With very minimal effort, you can achieve the same results using the search function,

For D2 there are just way too many stats variations that can make a single item worth from 100 fg to over 200k fg such as perfect Griffs,

If a system like were to be implemented, you would still need to input the name of the item and all the details in order to search for the estimated value of the item based on stats and past sales,

which doesn't really make things any easier than it is now.

Don't require this, it will be more work than it's worth type deal. Part of the fun is learning the economy/market. Voted no

Agreed, the Bold part is especially important.
