If Conor wins, who is leaving the forum?
If Floyd wins, who is leaving the forum?

Just curious, I don't actually want anyone to leave. But it's fun to see the threats & jabs :)

Does anyone think there's a chance one of them won't show?
Does anyone think Conor won't make weight?
Does anyone think the fight will go beyond 6 rounds?

lol, indeed

If Conor came in fat, would he just lose a % of his purse? If it was gonna cost him some money, I doubt he'd fook with his weight unless he wanted to annoy Floyd.

I think Conor would help himself to stay lean for this one. It's going to be taxing on his energy if it goes beyond the 2nd round. His cardio looks decent from footage I've watched, and his physique looks on point.

8 rounds though? I assume you have Floyd winning. I think that's reasonable. If Conor doesn't try to ape beat him, Floyd should have him measured and timed by the 2nd or 3rd round at latest ... if he doesn't have much output then it may take him a little while. I wouldn't blame him if he's shy on Conor's left for 1-4 rounds, depending on whether Conon's power seems to leave him or whether he is giving up big openings (which I assume he will). Once Floyd is comfortable I think he can cover up and also give some good offense, picking Conor apart. At some point, he needs to either put in some great flurries or become the stalker, and that could last a few rounds because I think Floyd is more likely to counter and sometimes put in combinations. Floyd may need to get inside to counter, so that's an interesting matter in itself. More likely, he can counter on the ropes to avoid needing to work his way in. I don't know if Floyd can counter and earn a KO/TKO on the ropes, and that's why I think he actually needs to pursue Conor to get it done in 8.

It could play out in several ways but if it goes to 8, I imagine ^ that's the storyline.

Aint no way conor misses weight, he has a cardio program specifically tailored to him and the best advice from nutritionist. They are no amateurs in terms of preparation.
Conor will have power even after 8 rounds imo, and I cannot see floyd adjusting to mcgregors unorthodox striking / movement in 4 rounds, if he makes it 4.

I was only asking the weight making question to get people hyped up :) Someone will probably come in and say Conor will come in fat.

I like it! You're thinking Conor is going on a search and destroy mission. You make an interesting point: Floyd is going to need to adjust more than he ever has.

But one could also argue that Floyd is so good that the adjustments won't be so big because his game is already so versatile. That is, you can be as unorthodox and a mountain lion in the ring with him, but you still need to hit him to beat him.

I LOVE stirring it up over the fight. It's just so strange that nobody--no expert, no fighter--nobody--knows what's going to happen.

Every time I think about it, I start to believe a little bit more in Conor's chances. But if Floyd wasn't 41, 2 years retired, and such a defensive fighter in his later years ... it would be an easy kill for him.
