See the problem is it should need to be hyped. Conor has almost no chance. This is a sham of a boxing match that nobody should have any interest in. It should be 12 shutout rounds at the worst and a very early knockout realistically for floyd.
But these crazy people think he's god and can do it. It's so fucking bonkers. At the same time he's done some insane shit to people who should be miles better than him.
As a fan of boxing since I was young and an MMA fan since the early 2000s I'm torn a lot of ways on this fight.

It doesn't need a big hype engine behind it outside of a typical hype engine. But it's not a typical fight, so the hype engine is beastly, even though it's not really necessary to get people interested--and watching. Then again, the more attention it gets, the more people buy into the whole thing. So financially there's a justification for it but the fight sells itself.
I expect Floyd to win but this will be a 41 year-old, 2 year retired, smaller man facing an explosive, completely unorthodox and special fighter. It's unfair to say that Conor has no chance because NOBODY really knows how this will play out.
If anyone in MMA under 170 EVER had a shot at beating Floyd, it's Conor. I think Conor is a more dangerous opponent than most of Floyd's opponents were, even in his prime. But only because Conor is special and he will be like nothing Floyd has ever seen. You can't plan for Conor. Again, I think Floyd will win.
