Get hit with a few severe storms every week here lately, late June-July is always lightning season here. Where do you live?

About 45-50 miles due East of Chicago.....the most recent storms hit us at a moment's notice, so of course the first day we ran around a la head removed chickens

Just finished off FF tatix cuz I've been stuck at work for 28 of the last 36 hours

A prime example of over grinding.....great game though. Totally worth a replay.

I over-ground Tactics too, fuck it. One thing I regret with that game was not taking the time to learn how to use Calculators. That'll definitely be getting replayed in the future though so no bother.

Took me forever to get 1 calc to learn all his math skills, and I blasted my team enough times to use him in auto battle near the end.

Once you get orlandu you really don't need anyone else

What pcsx2 settings are you using? I'm getting a solid 60fps on cut scenes, but like 15fps on the actual game.

I may be attempting to emulate it on too large of a screen, but I'm really trying not to switch out my htpc as I've got like 4000 hours of media saved on there.

Under Video --> Plugin Settings I'm running "Direct3D9 (Hardware)" with Native PS2 resolution, texture filtering, Lograithmic Z and Alpha Correction all enable.
Under Video --> Core GS Settings I have Framelimiting disabled and "Base framerate adjust" set to 110%. Slow motion adjust set to 50% and Turbo adjust set to 200%.
Under Video --> Core GS Settings, moving over to the Speedhacks tab, I have speedhacks enabled, EE Cyclerate set to 2, INTC Spin detection enabled and Wait Loop Detection enabled, then I have mVU Flag Hack enabled.

Aside from that everything is set to the bold, green recommended settings. 15FPS sounds horrible.

It's miserable. The opening cinematic played flawlessly (and is awesome)

Once the gameplay starts I'm down to 15fps. It's either because my settings are messed up, or the cpu isn't powerful enough to emulate it on a 73" screen.

I've actually got a better PC just collecting dust, but I'm trying to avoid the hassle moving all the files around....I'll give your settings a shot when I get home from work.

I'll take a SS when I get into it. I had to turn the gfx way down whichis kind of a drag, but as with most FF...that's not the important part
