honestly it's like top 10 for me... loved it

almost cried a few times LoL

I recommend playing on hard mode to begin with though

I'll check and see if I can get my hands on a copy, sort of have a hefty backstock of PS3 games I already want to beat.

I'm currently on late disc 3 of FF IX. No clue what I'm going to play once I finish it.

IX's done. I'd done everything I set out to do aside from Excalibur 2 (fuck that) and maybe 1-2 of Quina's blue magics. Always takes me a bit to get over one game and move on to the next but I'm finna tackle the Frontiers next.

I've read that it's interesting, but you can easily get lost for hours on end unless you keep a walkthrough handy.

I can see that. Yeah you're given a handful of characters to start the game with and each has their separate story, right away I was confused and lost on the airship I started on. Safe to say, as with any other RPG, I'll have a guide handy to avoid a headache/missing anything important.

I avoid games like this because I can't stand using a walkthrough. Most decent RPG's can be played through at least twice, and I like to do the first playthrough with out any aid, and if it's good enough to play again use a walkthrough to get all of the extra goodies.

I'm in the middle of Star Ocean Second Story right now....so far it's pretty damn good.

Yeah I know a lot of people live by that philosophy, I'm old and my RPG backlog is so large that I don't plan on replaying anything in the near future aside from Chrono Cross/Trigger for the New Game+ feature. Would just rather 1-and-done, get everything, see everything and move on. Star Ocean 2's really good, did you choose Rena or Claude?

I'm old too.... I wish I'd had an affinity for these games in my youth.

Flipped a coin....came up Rena. So far I'm a little lost as to who Claude is, and where he's from. I'm like 5 hours in, but hoping to get some time this weekend to get 5-8 hours to play it.

Claude's past is a little cloudy in the early stages of the game, even if you would have chosen him. The good thing about playing as Rena is you'll get a really badass character later on.
