PSA:

If you've purchased something from Blizzard days before a sale, you may contact them and typically you will receive reimbursement of some kind.
They may not always give you a choice (some get one) but people typically receive game time, blizzard store credit, an additional service (I transferred a toon prior to the sale... contacted someone and was able to receive an additional service for free), and sometimes a refund.

i xferred two characters to a different server 5 days before they had that big sale a week ago. put in a ticket in-game and they credited my account for the difference. easy peasy.

Can this work if I've bought a game in store?

If anyone wants to raf let me know. We will get two characters to 80 for sure.

Need to purchase the second month before you get the mount, although I have heard that using a 60 day card will get you the raf mount instantly (Unconfirmed)

Bad sizing sorry. Basically I paid 40$ the day before and the new sale was 25$, so they gave me the difference ( 15$ ) as 30 days game time.
