1. Why do you play (video game name)? Do you use it sometimes as an escape from reality?
Any game I play is for mainly recreation. Sometimes it gets used not necessarily as an escape, but as a relaxant. Something to just unwind from life with, and get lost in fantasy for a while. Lets me reset my worries.

2. Do you feel like you have more freedom to do what you want inside the game or inside real life? Why?
Both. The game has very specific limits as to what can be done, but within those limits I take as many freedoms as possible. If something can be done in the game, I'll give it a try usually at least once, just to see how it all works out. Life has less defined boundaries though, and those boundaries are frequently different from whats found in the game. There are consequences for PVP'ing IRL, lol.

3. Do you have more confidence in your abilities do things in game or in life?
Equal. I know what I'm good at and what I'm bad at in general, in and outside the game.

4. Do you feel that by playing (video game name), it has increased your overall happiness in real life?
Temporarily, at least. At least one day I'll be able to tell my kids that I was part of the group that was there for the start of the whole deal.

5. What would it take to make you stop playing (video game name)?
I'll always find something to recreate with, if its online computer games, or tabletop paper, pencil, and dice games. It's just too ingrained in me to just up and quit, at least for quite a while.

6. How much time have you spent on this game(estimate or exact)?
On Warcraft, I started a couple months after release and played off and on all through Wrath. I've spent far more time on D2, and a fair number of other MMO's, as well as single player games, and the old D&D (and a few other systems that are similar)

Nothing the greatest can't leave his fans behind

why exactly do you need to be an "experienced player" to answer any of those questions?

Thank you guys again for the replies! Ill keep accepting more; the more info I have the better. And to answer your question symphonicX, it seems to get more views with that title because I put a post in the D3 forum with the title "help with school project" and I get less views and replies. Also need people who actually play WOW on a recurring basis for proper answers.
