the reality is simple. People have been saying epl is the best league for years and years without any proof at all. the point that the 7th placed in spain beat manu twice, both away and at home ( something no team in the epl is capable of ), is more proof than epl fanboys have ever had.
saying a league is bad simply because it contains two teams that are miles ahead of any other team is just as silly
What proof are u looking for? As I already mentioned before, for past 7 or so years no other league produced so many quarter, semi and finalists as EPL did. Drawing conclusions from 1 catastrophic season (which is exception, not the rule) simply doesn't make any sense. English big boys will bounce back- they always do. Hell, just a couple of years ago there were 3 English clubs in the semis. Don't forget, that the likes of City and Spurs are also emerging as top clubs, while I honestly can't remember when was the last time when any Spanish club besides Barca-Real had any kind of impact on this competition.
