it isn't about how much you spend, it's how you spend it. Arsenal don't spend that much, yet they're one of the top teams in the world.

I partially agree, meaning Arsenal have indeed a nice team, very barcelona-style alike.
Yet their transfer policy - investments in youth translates into spectacular football, but unfortunately, also no trophies. This is their purgatory.
Personally i`m glad we face arsenal instead of chelsea - man utd cuz this way i will probably see a very nice game. May the best team win :>

Reds Progress in Youth Cup

Liverpool are through to the quarter finals of the FA Youth Cup.

The Reds hammered Southend 9-0 at Anfield last night in the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup thanks to five goals from Raheem Sterling and other strikes from captain Conor Coady, Stephen Sama and Toni Silva.

"I am really pleased with the performance of the lads, especially with it being at Anfield," said under 18's coach Rodolfo Borrell.

"I was expecting a tough game because Southend have some good players, but we started really well and with the goals we scored so quickly it made it easier for us.

"The clean sheet was important and I told the players this at half-time.

"I still think we can play a little bit better linking more with the central midfielders but I'm quite happy with our overall display.

"I'm sure Southend will bounce back from this and they kept going and I would like to wish them all the best."

Raheem Sterling, what a prospect he is.

I really hope that he, Suso, and Coady make the step up to the first team with their ever improving talent.

These three are definites for the future, and hopefully the near future.

He's back in training, along with Jay Spearing.

Can't wait until carroll starts. After seeing suarez, hes gonna be deadly with all the space he gets with the defenders marking carroll.

With meireles and gerrard on form. Then thats 3 points from united.
