Companions heavily worth it for a combative character. I like their storyline a lot, it’s just too short. Most of them train you in combative skills too. You can exploit the game and ask them to be your follower, train from them, and take your money back.

My personal favorite questlines were civil war, the daedric quests, dawnguard, dragonborn, dark Brotherhood and thieves guild. Companions seemed really rushed and awkward. After like 2 or 3 quests you're already in their inner circle? Wat. College of winterhold is alright but most of the time, I just begin it to unlock Saarthal to begin the Gauldur Amulet quests.

They're just miles ahead of everything else for me. I always loved the Dark Brotherhood, shit was so great in Oblivion, and figuring out the Daedric shit, especially some of the crazy one's (like fucking eltonbrand) is just so fucking regarding.

Not sure what Civil War/Daedric are. Dragonborn is pretty good so far and plan on doing Dawngard soon because fuck yeah vampire killing.

Never really been a mage person in any kind of RPG so College has zero interest from me. I'm there atm trying to do this fucking wall glitch though with the platter and no luck.
