Shaun Cody probably won't play week 1 against the Dolphins. Earl Mitchell will need to step up.

I think Shaun Cody will be ready to play the season opener but Earl Mitchell did well when he played last year. I'd like to see the rookie Hebron Fangupo getting some extended playing time in the final three pre-season games. He's currently battling Sunny Harris for the 3rd-string nose tackle job, but I envision Fangupo being a future starter. The guy is 330 pounds and much bigger than Cody and Mitchell. He's going to be the next Tony Siragusa.

Here's the other interview from earlier today with Owen Daniels. Seems like all the radio stations interview him the most.

Brian Cushing is going to return against the 49ers on Saturday Night after missing the game against the Panthers. J.J. Watt will not play against the 49ers, and the team doctors say that Watt is another week away from being fully recovered from his dislocated shoulder that he suffered in training camp over two weeks ago. Wade Phillips wants to look at the young guys so I don't think he's in a rush for all of the defensive starters to come back before Week 1 against the Dolphins.

Watt hurt his elbow, not his shoulder.

I'd like to see more of Tim Jamison anyways, and Jared Crick if he's ready.

J.J. Watt dislocates left elbow, will be ready by Week 1

Read it wrong on the Texans.com article. LOL. Figured it wasn't a shoulder. That takes longer than three to four weeks.

Do you have a smartphone Ryan? HoustonTexans.com have an app for my android, but I'm sure it's on iPhones as well. Pretty good app, has the latest quotes from coaches, video of interviews, etc.

I had to get rid of my season tickets due to financial reasons after the end of last season, I've been a season ticket holder since the franchise began.

This is their year to shine, horrible timing, but I had to do it. :(
