Houston opens the season September 9 against the Dolphins at home. The Texans are 6-0 all time against Miami. Hopefully they improve to 7-0.



I'm ready for the pre-season opener against the Panthers on Saturday Night also.

Watt, Reed, Barwin, Cushing... I'm ready to see the Texans rack up a lot of sacks this year!

I think 4th round pick Jared Crick out of Nebraska is the same type of high-motor and blue-collar player. He's going to be the steal of the 2012 draft and another breakout rookie for Houston. Whitney Mercilus is going to love playing for Wade Phillips as well. The Texans have a lot of young and talented pass rushers in their front seven. Something to build on for a long time.

A little more than 3 hours until game time at 7 PM Eastern... I'm ready to watch the Texans and Panthers game!

My local ABC will have a Houston Texans pre-game show (Extra Points) at 5:30 then the game at 6 central. My NFL Network has the game scheduled also but they may black out that broadcast. Maybe not since it's a pre-season game. I'll probably get the game on two channels but I prefer Joel Meyers and Spencer Tillman as the announcers.

Who's even playing in this game? Brian Cushing is out, not sure who else.

ryan does abc air the game or is it nfl network only thing

It is a nationally televised game on the NFL Network tonight. But in the Houston area they have their own pre-season broadcasts with Joel Meyers and Spencer Tillman on ABC. I'm thinking it will be two separate broadcasts tonight. In the regular-season when the Texans play an NFL Network game the local ABC will air the NFL Network broadcast and block out the game on the NFL Network.
