They recently got a new ownership group. I am unsure how stable that group is.
Some time ago there was an allegation that violated rules set forth by various leagues, including the NHL by conducting physical assessments outside of the combine parameters set forth; thus giving them an unfair advantage.
I believe the fine is 500k per player involved in this ordeal, and it was further alleged that some teams/players reported this happening. Now that story can gone eerily quiet though so I am not sure what became of it, if anything.
Yeah, i agree. Personally i think SHOULD relocate, but im just not so sure on how keen the NHL is on that. Guess time will tell.

I think the Arizona Coyotes will have one last chance to stay if they can approve a new arena deal.
But I'm not sure how bad their tax payers really care about hockey. They also have a low attendance.
Honestly though, I think Houston can out-draw both cities if the marketing for the new team is good.
Look at the XFL rebirth. The Houston Roughnecks are the hottest ticket in town right now. Undefeated.
I never truly believed the Ottawa Senators were in danger of relocating. I'd love to see this thread turn into the Houston Senators. LOL
well, all i know is that with the coyotes moving to the central divison from the pacific in 2021 it certainly opens the door for a move to houston.
Dallas is already playing in the central, and has shown that hockey can work in texas so it would make sense (at least a hell of a lot better than arizona lol). we'll just have to wait and see.
