DM is right that the Celtics choked. -500 favorites going into the ECF and favorites to win the ring literally all year long.

Brogdon being hurt was unfortunate timing but at the same time the Celtics were very lucky that he didn't miss any other time this year because he is well known for missing 25-30% of seasons for years now, ditto for Timelord, ditto for Horfords effectiveness... all these things were pretty much expected from the jump

the Celtics need another playmaker as insurance for Brogdon being injured, he has a degenerative foot so it will pretty much always be a given that he will miss time during the season and postseason

the Celtics need another effective big as insurance for Horford gassing out and Timelord never being fully healthy

Joe is probably fine long term as HC, but the Udoka timing was poor because they could have gone with a better promotion. It is what it is at this point, let Joe gain his experience with this group, probably best to stick with him for at least 2 more seasons and see how it goes

the most difficult decision that will make or break this teams Championship aspirations is how they handle Brown, they are in danger of him walking and ending up empty handed

Not because he won the scoring title for a second year in a row while being the most dominant player in the league.

Not because he received 73 first place votes (while Jokic only received 15)

But because people felt bad for him

Jokic didn't average 30 points though...

Hell, he didn't even average 25.

To keep brown would be 295 million over 5 years. $60 mil a year for Brown with zero mvp n zero rings n zero scoring titles n zero defensive player of the year. He’s nice but not $60 million a year nice lol.
