We look goooooooooood.
This is the most fun the Rockets have been to watch play, in a looooong, long time. I love it.
I know some people on X that are concerned with the Rockets slipping some on the defensive end. Which is fair to say.
But I'll gladly take the NBA's #1 offensive rating and #8 defensive rating. All after they lose their starting point guard.
When you're the NBA's best three-point shooting team on top of everything else. You always have a chance to win games.
Alperen Sengun and Amen Thompson look like two blossoming young superstars. Amen is an elite defender that can defend anybody.
Jabari Smith Jr. and Reed Sheppard look like two future all-stars. Tari Eason is the 6th man of the year in the NBA.
And then Kevin Durant is an automatic bucket anytime he's in the game. He shoots mid-range jumpers above 50%.
Rockets can put Steven Adams and Clint Capela in the game. They go three deep at center. They can rebound, block shots, etc...
And then there's Josh Okogie. All he does is play hard on both ends of the court. Very unselfish player. Huge signing for the Rockets.
The Rockets are still waiting for Dorian Finney-Smith to return from injury. They haven't needed him because they're already too deep.
All the Houston Rockets need to do is acquire a veteran point guard before the trade deadline. Final piece to a championship puzzle.
I believe the NBA has already granted Houston a $12.5 million disabled player exception for Fred VanVleet. Will help in any trade made.
But the Rockets just have to wait until December 15 to make any trade. That is when their entire roster becomes available to trade.
