Giving my MVP vote to Jokic based on yesterday alone. He played, posted a triple double, got the win & humbly praised Embiid at the end of the game. Unlike Embiid, who was throwing subs & shade at Jokic before the game & then ducked & didn’t play. MVP is about storylines, Jokic wrote the final chapter. 📝

This
Jokic again is approaching 70+ games played, very reliable and posting historic numbers for a first place team. Shoots 62%+ from the field too with shooting threes too.

First three peat MVP since Larry Legend Bird and first time in 3 Decades!!!

I'll go ahead and assume based on this post, you clearly didn't watch the game.

Sixers emptied their bench with a few minutes to go. Game seemed out of hand. Nuggets kept starters in.

Sixers end of bench, guys who literally never get minutes, proceeded to rip the Nuggets starters a new one and get within 3 points with like 35 seconds to go. It took a bogus foul call to seal the deal.

Jokic is amazing offensively, even if he does seek out triple doubles and care too much about his stats. Last night he was actively seeking that 10th assist which became obvious and a bit ridiculous. But my God he's so bad defensively. There's a reason Denver has the 15th ranked defense and the worst defense at the rim in the league.

Nuggets will never win it all with Jokic's struggles defensively. Teams openly target him for easy points. When you're being targeted as the center you know you've got problems. Teams have a field day attacking Denver in the paint.

Serious question...why would Embiid duck Jokic???? Lol

Nuggets have a mediocre defense (15th in Defensive rating) and they have the worst rim protection defense in the league (teams shoot over 71% at the rim vs them).

In their h2h matchup earlier this season, Embiid dropped 47 points, 18 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks, 58% FG (4-7 3PT). He also hit the game sealing three over Jokic, right in his face.

What is there to duck? That's an easy 40+ point game against a shit defender like Jokic.

Maybe his team knows that his glass knees and poor conditioning can’t handle the altitude? Once again… he has missed 9 games in Utah/Denver out of a possible 14 in his career.

Mentioning head to head stats when Embiid only wants to play on his terms is just ridiculous. The only person he will have to blame for fumbling another MVP is himself. Kobe went into Charlotte to make a statement that he was better than CP3 to seal his candidacy 👌

Regular season MVP awards are great, but one ring tops all of them. Would love to see Embiid win MVP, but not more than finals MVP 😉

Say Jokic wins his third straight MVP award, but doesn't even make the Finals? Man, talk about getting heat for being a regular season player. The pressure is all on Jokic in that case.

The 76ers arent winning a ring tho… imagine thinking you’re going to get through both Boston and Milwaukee without shot creators, without bench depth, without a coach (that has functioning brain cells)

You’re really huffing copium to think that the 76ers are suddenly going to jump two levels with this team. Name one team that went from constant 2nd rd knockouts to winning a title? There are levels to this and it would be a difficult task just for Philly to make the ECF as they will be forced to win a road series against either Milwaukee or Boston

Embiid has never been able to endure even 1 month of playoff intensity basketball without breaking down. Now you’re upping it to 2 months against multiple contenders consecutively on the road? Not convincing since Embiid can’t even play a game in Denver to make a bold statement for his MVP

No shot creators? Lol? I guess Harden and Maxey died, or? You living in 2020/2021 or something when they were relying on Ben Simmons?

Also, I never said sixers WILL win it all, but they certainly have a shot. They're a true contender, obviously, and can go toe to toe with any other team in the league. It'll be a battle and obviously all depend on keep Embiid healthy. I'll pretty much hold my breath through the playoffs, because if they stay healthy they beat anyone.

With that said, this team is MUCH different than previous years because we're no longer relying on Ben fucking Simmons to be our second best player. Your statement is as if they haven't upgraded and become deeper, and it's as if Embiid isn't better than ever before. A healthy Harden alone makes this team SO much more dangerous than they ever were with Simmons in the playoffs. The Embiid and Harden P&R is dominant, and if they're both healthy this offense is elite.

Plus, an even more mature and polished Maxey who is a monster scorer, more depth, and actual physical vets with playoff experience. While the roster isn't perfect, there's zero question it's better than before (though backup C is still questionable). A full year with a healthy Harden has allowed everyone to get used to their roles, hence why the Sixers have the best record in the league over the past 3.5 months.

FYI I've said healthy Bucks are the team to beat in the East since day 1 this season. Was still saying it when the Celtics were leading the conference earlier in the season, looking like they wanted to run away with it.

Got shit from some people (kimmy) for saying that but it's facts. Bucks are proven, no one else in the conference is. Last time Bucks were healthy they won it all. If Middleton is healthy and remotely productive come playoff time, it's probably their conference to lose. Although I'm confident 76ers could knock em out if everyone is available to play B)
