First of all, I really don't think even if we had everyone healthy we'd be at .500
Drabek was not good this year at all. Metrics and even standard stats...he was awful.
Hutchison was mediocre.
Bautista could have contributed maybe 3...4 wins max more had he stayed healthy
Morrow could have been the wildcard to get us close to .500 had he + the guys mentioned above were healthy.
Im confident though that next year we'll see really good years from Jose, EE (Again), and Rasmus. Not so much from the rest.

I think the reason why I am satisfied with Farrell is that I know there are many worse managers out there who can do more wrong...I wouldnt mind him staying.
But if we were to deal him....I would NOT want to see him in Boston, HE KNOWS TOO MUCH

I think Lawrie will mature. Become a better base stealer

Eh we mined him for a lot on Boston already too :P

We can finish with 73 wins (if we the Twins are swept) .500 is not that far away. If you are willing to give Bautista 3 wins that is only asking the starters (+ other injuries Lawrie, Arencibia, etc) to come up with 5 wins. I'm not suggesting I expected them to hit a wildcard or anything, but certainly keep their head at the waterline. They did it last year with a pretty marginal team.

Lot of that 'mining' unfortunately is all for not as its historic now. The Red Sox now looks really different (Roster) than what it is now.

You make a good point in that second paragraph. I stand corrected.

Yeah, I was really disapointed in the lack of SBs this year from him

I was even more disappointed at the number of times he was caught. He was only 13/21. That number suggests he needs to better pick his spots.

Ya I agree -- I think he is too confident based on his speed alone.
