been playing for years. love it. it's relatively cheap considering the courses are typically free to play on but the initial investment in the discs can be a few bucks.
great hobby to participate in with friends or by yourself. satisfies the competitive urge and you can play while drinking/toking.
Word. I've been playing for almost a year now. Friend introduced me to it at the end of last summer. Next day I bought a starter kit and have been hooked ever since. Although I do appreciate the commonality of being inebriated while playing (I'm a stoner), I appreciate the wilderness aspect more than anything else. Big part of why I live White Cedar so much.

Yes because we play on campus we don't want to be breaking windows and such. So we added in stroke penalties for hitting windows, landing in "wrong areas" similar to real golf. It adds a twist and I feel makes it more fun.
Ah. I don't play anywhere that has much for breakable hazards. Closest to that we have is the occasional cars/kids in the area of basket 9 at the Carlton course (it's built on wooded trails and fields around an elementary school). We just skip hole 9 when there are cars or kids and play everything else as it lies.
