Guessing Kemba was the steal you guys were talking about?

I was considering him except for 2 things:

1. He just had what will probably be the best year of his career. He will not trend upwards for the next 3 years
2. I already have a PG and idk what you guys would've said about playing Kemba at SG
3. Most of d2jsp thinks hes mediocre
4. I have a certain playstyle in mind for my team that Kemba doesn't fit

Not saying he's a back pick by any means I just think Beal was the better pick. Though his poor season is mildly troubling.

If thats not who you were referring to my bad.

I'm curious though, would it have been a detriment to you guys voting for my team if I played Kemba at starting SG?

(p.s. I kinda wish I'd have picked Butler over Griffin because PF is so much deeper)

I don't think kemba was who they were referencing. I am not a fan of beals game. Certainly I think kemba is the better player. I think he could run the 2 assuming you had the other pieces around him to help defensively.

I'm not a fan of Beal's game either tbh, but he's only 22 and since this is next 3 years, he's pretty widely considered one of the most promising young players in the league.

Kemba's certainly better right now but I think Beal has a higher probability of having a better next 3 years. Plus his skillset fits my team needs way mroe. Same reason I didn't pick Jimmy Butler.

I will say this draft is way less clear-cut as to who are good and bad picks since it's so hard to predict 3 years in the future.

I was considering taking Al Horford a pick earlier too but I def like Whiteside better.

I think Beal is a great pick, he's a great shooter snd has a ton of potential

Agreed on its hard to decide. However, I don't think beal will ever come close to the potential people keep talking about. When I watch him play he is just not very good. I think his shooting is way overrated as well.

Whiteside is a guy with a lot of potential too. I already have cousins though so I'm drafting horford to play the PF which I think is a more natural fit for him than C. I think horford is a better PF than whiteside is a C if that makes sense. however, a debate could be made that whiteside is a better c than horford is depending on the roster... If that makes sense haha
