I personally always thought Jamie was one of the least interesting out of the main characters

I always liked Robb, even though he was a dumbass king.

Jaime by far had the best story imo. He had an amazing redemption arc after doing evil things out of love for his sister and then it came full circle when he died with her. All four of the Lannisters were the best parts of the show. I really hope this show can manage to pump out at least half of the great characters we got in GoT. Even somewhat minor characters like Oberyn were amazing.

Good 2nd episode. I'm really enjoying the development so far.

The Crabfeeder seems gruesome and unique.

The Daemon and Rhaenyra dynamic is interesting.

Syrax is noble and majestic, Caraxes is creepy and unnerving, both in a cool way.

He had a good arc until they decided to throw it away so the important characters could all be in kings landing at the end

The scene — intercut with a bloody jousting tournament mounted by the king in premature celebration — was designed to be “a distillation of the experience of men and the experience of women” in Westeros, Sapochnik said. But it was also meant to reveal “parallels to our own past and present,” he added. It represents the grimness of childbirth in the medieval era, from which Martin’s fantasy world draws, when “giving birth was violence”; but it also represents the grimness of childbirth in post-Roe America, when the scene reads as “more timely and impactful than ever.”

The scene, Sapochnik promised, was just the beginning of a whole season of portentous births, each seeded with additional gender commentary.

I cant believe she got paid to write something this bad but at least there were these gems in there that reveal the dude directing the show is a giga retard. Dawg. Youre making a show about dragons and sword fighting and a family that's known for sister fucking. Nobody gives a shit about gender roles and parallels to the past and present. Well that's not entirely true, I'm sure some people do - but why would you listen to them??? Just make the show entertaining and stop grasping for meaning. What an actual fucking retard.

The grand maester informs the king that the baby is in a breech position, and that “it sometimes becomes necessary for the father to make an impossible choice” — to “sacrifice one or to lose them both.” Viserys approves the surgical removal of the baby without Aemma’s knowledge or consent.

"Um... Hey babe... The pregnancy isnt going so good... So I was thinking, and the maester thinks this too, that maybe.... Um... We could just cut you open and try to save the baby? B-b-but only if youre cool with it! I'd really heckin appreciate it, and I think the baby would too... It's definitely going to kill you tho just fyi... Just wanted to make sure you were cool with it before we did it..."

These people are fuckin crazy.

100% agree. Theyre just front running the bad press. Season gonna fall off hard after ep2 and continue to decline. Theyre announcing the new guy to give people hope that s2 will redeem s1.

He was one of the greatest swordsmen of his generation. He was in love with his very attractive twin sister. He was a very pragmatic man in a time of codes and honor. To have this man end up staying with a tall ugly woman just because she has a good personality would have been the most Disney shit writing ever. Him pumping and dumping in a one night stand and then ghosting her to get back with his ex is by far the most realistic thing to ever be written into a fantasy show.

Yah at first, I thought it was weird how Jamie banged the lady knight

But when I rewatched it, I realised the lady knight started falling for him; when he saved her from getting raped and the bear

Jamie is a tragic hero, but he would do any evil for his sister bride

Which means he's just human, n has flaws

But he does love his little brother, and has done shit to become a good man;
Losing his hand made him humble

He was this cocky guy who thought he could out sly any one
