Yeah before it came out I thought I'd hate the character just because of how goofy Matt Smith looks. He's definitely the highlight so far.

I liked it. He went there to die and got lucky as fuck and ended up a hero. It is no different than Jon in Battle of the Bastards. He should have died and had some luck on his side and became a legend in Westeros.

Agreed

Everything else in this episode was solid, but the entire ending was pathetic

I thought episode 3 was worthy. I am sad to see the crab feeder war/feud end this early though. This was a cool ass villain, but it sets up an important storyline for Daemon
