2500k greater, have to agree with that newbie dude,

Finally someone who can actually check out some tests.
Of course 2500k is better with the same card, with OC the gap between 8350 is even bigger...
But those guys will do everything to convince people to buy fx because 90 fps on i5 is the same what 60fps on fx is for eye.
There are some exceptions where FX shines, but still it isn't superior and doesn't come head to head in every game (close at most)
But you know, they cry about 20-30$ more spent on cpu+ motherboard (2500k + cheap p67 costs around that amount more than 8350 and m5a97) when they could just buy less cheeseburgers a week

A nice quote to you butthurt fanboys:

Either way you cut it, the FX-8350 remains true to what we've seen in our other gaming tests: it's pretty fast in absolute terms, easily improves on the performance of prior AMD chips, and still has a long way to go to catch Sandy Bridge, let alone Ivy.

These guys arguing for Intel probably only has an Intel rig and does not want their components to be depreciated, so they would fight like its their religious belief that Intel > AMD. Calm down guys, no one will read this thread in a few days. Post in your blog or something if you want a few potential readers in the future.

Edit: This is from an objective point of view. I could only wish for something as high-end as the i5 or the 8350.

It's about facts, not cpu preferences.
I wouldn't mind having any of those too, but if it's possible to get the better one for a little more (20-30$ as I mentioned) I'd go that way.
And I've had many AM3 builds, I've been also using athlon 2500+ for more than 5 years, so how does that make me a fanboy...

If true, then I retract my statement about you having only an Intel rig. Let me rephrase it to that you do not have a 8320/8350 rig to directly compare to your Intel rig. There are facts that prove the differences between 8350 and 3570k is small in gaming, and don't assume I called you a fanboy...

I'm not here to argue, but I'm tired of seeing these pointless fights in every thread you post in saying i5 > 8350. Both have their pros and cons...

Ivy Bridge's maximum temperature before shutdown is 105 degrees Celcius. Sandy Bridge's maximum temperature before shutdown is 98 degrees Celcius.
http://www.overclock.net/t/1198504/complete-overclocking-guide-sandy-bridge-ivy-bridge-asrock-edition

The following linked thread(s) make it seem like the temperature readings from A.M.D.'s C.P.U.s' cores are going to 90 degrees Celcius before thermal protection causes a shutdown:
http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=446&threadid=160921&enterthread=y

It seems that Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge could "run hotter" than Thuban because of their thermal protection limits...

What is Bulldozer's thermal limit? I have not read much into Zambezi and Vishera thermal limits.

since you're knowledgable and willing to take his side , please answer my questions i asked him in a thread that he dodged :

if you can check out actually some tests, why not answer my simple questions :)

would the united states also a viable option? or there's some places in canada that aren't really boring? because i went a phew times 100km or 200km away from montreal and there wasn't really anything nice there and they all spoke english :o i'm really tempted to go on a trip for a week in a english speaking place that's why, and new york is a place i could get without really having too much trouble if i can get pass the customs.
